Community Response:"Much Ado About Something"
Ken --------
July 27, 2008I just read through to the P.S. of your Note in the playbill and thought that I'd drop you a note to let you know that my daughter..., and I thoroughly enjoyed the show Saturday night. Your 70's adaptation and your interpretation were wonderful and the actors all did an outstanding job. I must also commend the production staff; the costumes were groovy, the set/staging were just right, the lighting was spot-on (pun intended), and the sound was the clearest that I can remember of any show I have seen recently (no small task when considering the outdoor venue). Bravo! We are already looking forward to your next season!
In the "Support the Vision" section of the playbill, I also noted the suggestion to "Encourage a potential artist." [My daughter] is a budding actress who just fell in love with Shakespeare's work during this past year (in which she was a high school freshman). In fact, her current "plan B" for if she isn't able to make a career in acting is to teach Shakespeare. She also told me that she wanted to direct her student theater group ... in a product of "Midsummer" this next year and was inspired by your 70's setting for "Much Ado."
Anyway, I am hoping that we can get [my daughter] interested in CFS and that you will be seeing her when it is time for a new crop of interns to join the group. Any suggestions that you may have on how to encourage her would be greatly appreciated.
Again, thank you for a wonderful evening and a terrific show.Sincerely,
Ken --------
